Philosophy of Missions

Here at the Rock Church we believe our mission, as well as that of all followers of Christ, is given by Jesus in Matthew 28:18-20 where He says:

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.  And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

This mission is given to us so that through the hearing of the gospel of Jesus Christ, those hearing may believe and call on the name of the Lord and be saved (Romans 10:13-15).

We believe that this mission is to be carried out in two ways: by Christians, both individually and collectively and; both locally and globally though the local church (Acts 1:8).

TEN9 Teams

TEN9 teams focus on preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ and calling people to repent an believe.

Zambia Ten9

In August of 2016 the Finkle family moved to Kawbe, Zambia.  They have been serving along side a local church in the compound of Katondo.  They run a school for special needs children and disciple a local church leadership team.

Cuba Ten9

We believe God has opened an exciting opportunity for The Rock Church of Fenton to partner with a local church in Cienfuegos, Cuba. Cienfuegos is a city on Bahía de Cienfuegos, a bay on Cuba’s south coast and is home to 150,000 Cubans.
