Going Mobile

“So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth.”  -1 Corinthians 3:7

Growth…I think about, say and hear that word so much; miraculous and immense growth, beyond my wildest imagination.  Jesus Christ saved our souls, called us the church and sent us on a crystal clear mission: go preach, baptize and make disciples.  So with our limited strength, knowledge, resources and experience we believers at The Rock Church have tried our best to honor our Lord.  Somewhere along the line, His mighty hand reached down out of Heaven and touched this little ministry in a way words are insufficient to describe.  He caused immense growth and we are frantically trying to catch up every day.  In all honesty, I hope that He continues to bless so much that we never catch up.  I love the panicky feeling of trying to no avail to adequately contain God’s increase.  I’d rather experience the exhilaration of fighting a forest fire than the frustration of trying to ignite damp kindling.  Ladies and gentlemen, Almighty God has set the Rock church ablaze and we get to be here to see it!

I’m sure I don’t need to run down the list of challenges that we face for the 100th time, so I’ll get to the point.  On April 12th we will be moving the 2 largest Sunday morning services to Lake Fenton High School.  This move will afford us over 500 more seats than we currently have between the 2 services, ample parking and efficient traffic flow.  The service times at Lake Fenton High School will be at 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings.  The Saturday night 6:00 p.m., Sunday 8:30 a.m. & Sunday 6:00 p.m. services will remain at The Rock’s Linden Road location.

These changes offer many ways for you to be a part of something absolutely incredible.  In going to a mobile church scenario there are opportunities for you to be involved in set up teams, tear down teams, greeters, parking lot attendants, children’s ministry, tech ministry, prayer teams etc.  I am thrilled about all that God is doing, but I cannot even contain myself at the expectation of what God is going to do.  I would love to serve alongside of you as we stand together and watch God continue to cause the growth.  If the Lord is stirring your heart to get involved and be a part of a revival in this land, please sign up to serve

Thankful for you,
Pastor Wes
