The last 2 months we have looked at Jesus’ wisdom. These are things that he thought were so important for all of us to learn that he spent the little time he had teaching them.
This month we have been focusing on things from the heart, that easily draw us away from doing what we learned last month- to Love the Lord will all our heart, soul and mind. Those 2 things are MONEY (which the love of is the root of all evil-1 Tim 6:10) , and pride which is demonstrated when we are HYPOCRITES (claiming to believe something that your behavior does not conform to).
Since our lesson on hypocrisy, how have you noticed yourself struggling to be the same person all the time?
Who (school friends, church friends, church leaders, parents, etc...) do you struggle the most to have integrity with? Why?
What do you spend your money on?
Have you ever had the thought, “If I only had a little more money then life would be easier?”
Do you worry about the future? Why?
Read Luke 21:1-4
Why do you think she was giving to the church, even though she didn’t have much to give?
What does her giving this money show about her heart?
Do you ever give or think of giving any of your money to the work of the Gospel? Why or why not?
