James 5:16 tells us, “The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” I believe this statement with all of my heart and have seen it demonstrated in people’s lives and circumstances countless times.
WHERE IS IT BEING IMPLEMENTED AT THE ROCK?
Over the years, the Rock has sought to place prayer at the forefront. As the Lord faithfully pours out His blessing on the Rock, we are seeking to be faithful in prayer to Him in a variety of ways.
- The "prayer chain” email. This is simply a massive email database of prayer warriors. When people have a great victory in their life, as well as needs, burdens and anonymous unspokens, it is sent out to everyone in the database who then turn their hearts to God in prayer on behalf of those in need. To share your prayer requests or to be a part of the prayer chain, simply email Lisa Bambach at: email@example.com
- Weekend gathering prayer teams. Every weekend during the the worship and preaching times, there are rotating teams of people that get together in a discrete place and pray. They pray for the Holy Spirit to powerfully be at work through the worship, Bible studies, children’s ministries, preaching, and within those that are in attendance. We attribute many of the incredible things we have witnessed happen during weekend gatherings to the faithful prayers of these teams. To inquire about being a part of a weekend prayer team, contact Kris Arocha at: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Altar prayer partners. This is the newest opportunity to watch God work in people’s lives through prayer. Our goal is to soon have “prayer partners” in the front of the auditorium at the end of every service. They will be off to the side, clearly identified by wearing a Rock church lanyard. Their purpose is solely to briefly and confidentially hear people’s burdens and offer prayer over them. At the present time, we have prayer partners committed to be available after the 10:00 a.m. service. If after service you are ever in need of prayer, just walk up to a person in a lanyard and ask. We are asking God to provide committed prayer warriors for all weekend services. If you would like more information about being a partner, please contact Kris Arocha at: email@example.com
Thrilled to serve Jesus with you!
