One Last Sheep

I was reading the other day in Luke 15 where Jesus talks about the one lost sheep. He talks about a man who had 100 sheep and lost one. The Bible says that he left the 99 in the open pasture to find the one that was lost.

After searching everywhere, the man finds it, puts it on his own shoulders and brings it home. He then arranges a party with all of the neighbors to celebrate the one lost sheep having been found.

Then Jesus makes His point: “I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.”

With Christmas Eve just days away, I want to ask you some questions:

  1. Is Jesus your Lord?

  2. Do you know someone who is lost?

  3. Are you coming at either noon or 2pm on Christmas Eve?

  4. Have you invited that one lost sheep God has placed in your life?

On Christmas Eve, the entire effort will be singularly focused on preaching the gospel to someone who is lost. I’m asking you to join me in focusing the next few days leading up to Christmas Eve on prayer and invitation.

Please pray that God would make the gospel crystal clear. That He would open the hearts of all the lost sheep who will attend.

Come on, Church! Join me in digging deep for the courage to prayerfully and sincerely invite that one lost sheep the Lord has placed on your heart. Let’s passionately pray to the Living God to speak to their hearts this Christmas.

God Bless You!
